Supervised first and second shift production for a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) manufacturing division of a global advanced materials company. Main production was zinc selenide (ZnSe) for use as optical grade material for laser and windows for forward-looking infrared (FLIR) devices.

Duties included supervision, training and planning of all shift personnel. Responsible for accurate and safe operation of chemical process equipment within budgets and agreed targets. Prepared reports and recommendations for process improvements to executive management.

Successfully managed consistent production of high value ceramic materials using high vacuum chemical vapour deposition (CVD) processing equipment. Trusted and safe operation of high temperature processes using hazardous precursor chemicals and by-products.
